Random Battle Stories

As you requested i shall share alittle of my random battle experience with you.
first off you all should know what random battle is. this will be a word wall but otherwise things wouldn't make sense, so bear with me.
OK first off just what is random battle?
random battle is an event you can find anime cons. it consists of teams of up to three people. these three proceed to engage in combat based on a turn system. you never get a double turn. the order it usually something like 1/3/2/4 where 1 and 2 are a team and 3 and 4 are the other team in a two on two match (most events i was in were 2 on 2). the normal battles were limited to the abilities you bought with ingame money earned from winning matches and such. i only bothered with two abilities, drain and drain2. deals and heals 1 and 2 damage respectively. limit twice per battle each. can't exceed your max health (starts at 3 maxes at 5). there are no other stats here. it is about what abilities and items you find and how you implement them.

ok this is getting boring and i'm sure you guys want me to get to the story so i will end my post here and start the story. if something doesn't make sense tell me i'll fix it.

i'll start with a shorter one to keep you guys happy.
First some inportant back info: storyline royals are oppressing the peseants, rebels are fighting the royals, mauders fighting everyone. me and eric (see pics voltimier and arbitor. yes that is how we were dressed, almost anyway) are the main characters in almost all of these stories because we fought as a team. we made a good one too. best players. we had to fight each other afterward to see who got the prize for best player. i won, i was our tactician. We chose to side with the Rebels as to got back at the Royals that and i had something planned but i don't want to ruin the second story now do i?
NOTE: all weapons use in random battle are fake.
so with no more adue here is the first story.


Eric and me were looking for a mission when we saw Royal Army team forcing the Rebel Leader somewhere. being that we were rebels we decided to "interrupt" their mission. eric approach first quickly and flawlessly applied two kunai across the first opponents neck from behind. the soldier then attempted to "behead" eric before eric could kill him. as he swung his bokken i stepped in and blocked it with my own. his partner then attempts to stab at me with a kunai knife. i lock blades with him drawing a kunai of my own. i was going to offer it as a draw and suggest a real battle for custody of the rebel leader but then the second soldier said something.
he said "it would appear we are at a stalemate as neither of us have any more weapons".
to this i could only reply by laughing and saying "hey eric, apparently these guys don't know me very well. i am NEVER out of weapons".
the soldier replied with "even so you are out of hands how shall you wield more weapons?"
i had a wide grin on my face as i kicked my spare kunai knife out from under my foot (see what boredom does to you. you hide things in the oddest of places). with my spare kunai firmly gripped between by foot, toes and sandal i started to kick and stopped at the last second as i said "care to try again?!"
that is how we recaptured the rebel leader from the Royal Guard.

ok here it is story two of three. and yes i am telling them in chronological order. this takes place on the morning of day 2. this one does not use eric as my team mate but someone cosplaying sora from kingdom hearts, here in referred to as sora. this throws a wrench into things as he is level one with no skills. so basically he deals 1 damage a round and has 3 health. thats it. at this point i have drain 1 and 2 already (i trained alot) i have my max of 5 health. now another thing to note is that battle works differently against bosses. you may use any techniques you have listed on the character card you submitted but only one use per attack on card.. now since i was using my roleplay character that is quite an arsenal. i will try to post the stat card later (hindsight: should have posted it first but bear with me again). also i was really hoping this would happen. this is the one guy who i really wanted to fight. he fought my group at the last con and we put him in his place. here he was thinking he was invincible again. *kick*
so here we go again:

ok first thing we find out: everyone must return to headquarters for special instructions. OK i'm up for a special mission. it wasn't what i thoguht but it worked anyway. we were given Intel that the Royal Army was on the move and that the Prince's jewels and fortune had been stolen. we were told that while the were disorganized we were going to strike the main army. as this is being said the prince, his best soldiers (ironically the pair me and eric beat), and an "invincible" mercenary walk into out camp. the prince says "You there! You have stolen my jewels prepare to be punished!" and points in two random directions into the crowd. one finger pointed at sora. he reluctantly stepped forward to defend himself. the other finger pointed in my general direction and before anyone could move to fight i yelled "I accept your challenge. Your greed will no longer plague these poor souls!" and marched to the front of the group. the rest of the group followed the original plan and left to engage the army. eric stopped for a moment. i told him to toss me the item satchel, i would probably need it. i turned to sora with a wide smile on my face and asked if he knew what was going on and when he said know i told him to just attack the person i did. we need to eliminate one opponent to survive the battle. we focused first on the one who insulted me the day before. fully in character at this point, i thought to myself "i'll show you what a grave mistake you made" and screamed "today we finish this" as i launched the first attack as decided by the referee. the guy i attacked struck next and hit me, i smiled and told sora to attack the other guy. he gave me a puzzled look but did it anyway. the second guard attacked me as well, much to my delight. things were going according to plan. its my turn again. i told the referee i was using a skill, DRAIN 2. the opponents suddenly realize their mistake as i fully heal and kill the guy i had attacked last round. fool. since guard 1 was dead it became sora's turn. sora attacked the remaining guard again. the guard struck at me. geez these guys don't learn. he has 2 HP left. at this point i can waste my other drain 2 but why? i attacked normally. it was then sora's turn. i told him to finish him. the guards fell dealing a total of one damage to me. the mercenary stepped up next. he was someone cosplaying sora in final form form KH2. it was two on one. we had an obvious advantage yet something didn't sit right. according to the health indicators he qwas already dead? i told sora to be careful. i attacked normally and so did he. this continued for afew rounds till we were each about dead. then all of the sudden the mercenary screams at the prince "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN'T PAY ME!?!?!?!?!" and leaves. both of us have 1 hp left but i still have an ace in the hole. this is now a true boss battle, anything goes.luckily i didn't have to tip my hand yet as the referee said that the rebels opened the potion stores and we are now fully healed. the prince steps into the arena and says "Fine. you are so far below me that i need not concern myself you may strike first and try to entertain me". if he could have seen my smile that line might have been alittle different. the heath counters were reset, mine at 5, sora's at 3 and the Princes at 20. so he has 20 health i thought to myself as i begun work on my strategy. i told sora just to follow my lead, he learns quickly, lucky for me or this story my take a different twist. i put my bokken away and unsheathe the newest addition to my arsenal: the pair of short swords i picked up the day before, after the day was done. i start things off with a simple strike to gauge his reaction. sora follows suit. 18 hp left. the prince obviously wasn't paying attention to the last battles because he focused mostly on me. im at 4 hp now. our turn, and i begin to attack ad call out for a special attack: elemental blades: Lightning. electricity charges my short swords (not really) as i strike for 2 damage. sora attacks normally. 15 left. not bad. he decides that he will us a frontal barrier instead of attack. i simply smiled. i had the perfect trick for this. i sheathe my blades once again. sora looks at me with a look of bewilderment. i start forming hand seals to keep true to my character. then i shout "FIRE STYLE: SHADOW DRAGON FIRE ROCKET SPREAD" (attack description as follows) a giant black dragon rises from my shadow and rises into the sky ti the splits into a rain of black fire missiles and bombard all opponents. the opponent is now burned for 4 rounds. the prince says his barrier blocks it, i look at the judge who reads the description and say the attack lands. sora defends. the prince, angry with me attacks me yet again. the prince takes 1 damage from the burn. enemy HP is now 13. i have 3 as does sora. this time around i use drain 2 again and sora just attacks. the prince hits sora this time, 1 damage from burn. health is 2 for sora, 5 for me, and 9 for prince. i cast my couterblow spell. i attack whenever i take damage for the next three rounds. sora attacks. the prince hits sora again, burn damage. HP is sora:1, me:5, prince:7 this round i reveal why i used counterblow. i now cast cover. for the next 2 rounds i take all damage dealt to the team. sora looks at me, smiles and attacks, he has figured out what i have planned. the prince attacks me obviously, no more burn aw. HP: sora: 1, me: 4, prince: 5. i cast my last drain life 2 this time around opting for more damage though i didn't need the full heal, sora attacks. the prince screams "This ends now. EXECUTIONER! KILL THIS MAN!" and points at me. i die but i have my aces in the hole. he definately shouldn't have pointed at me. i reach into my bag that eric tossed me as he left. "I USE MY PHEONIX DOWN!" i am set to revive to full health after i die. i can do this thanks to counterblow (which to be exact gives me an option to respond to my opponents attack. handy skill), so i die and am reborn. i have all my skills back and all my heath. the HP stands at sora: 1 me: 5 prince: 3. i attack normally just as sora does. the prince, sensing his unavoidable defeat turns to the referee and says "i can't die here. it would break the storyline, DO SOMETHING!" to which i respond. "i have a way you can escape. give me one more turn." and that they did. i said that "sometimes you can scare an enemy into fleeing. many bosses in games must be defeated multiple times before they stay dead." the referee agreed and told the prince to play along. i walked up to the prince and as i did i think he recognized me because he got really pale in the face. i reached into my bag and pulled out a photo. it was him, from the last con after he lost the bet saying he could beat anyone. for losing that bet he had to were a dress and sing I'm A Barbie Girl in front of the whole con. i showed him the pic as i yelled as loud as i could "Your Almighty Prince Cross dresses on the weekends!" he drops our "winnings" gold and runs away in shame.

not the ending you expected huh?
and the moral of this story is: if you ever go to a con, be careful what you say, and don't make bets, you will never live it down!

sorry that took so long to post. see why i wanted to organize this stuff. the second story is my favorite. the third will be the final boss battle and maybe i will post the random encounters after the storyline if i feel like it. i will organize the last one. i can't remember everything involved there. you might only get my involvement if i cant find my notes on what everyone else did. it won't be turn by turn though. the battle was all human players VS boss. everyone involved regardless of alliance. it was also a really long battle too (i could have fixed that. you'll see why).

is hard to tell a story without the wall. and i did warn you guys it was going to be one

the final battle is swiftly approaching. the rules here are alittle different to to the storyline scenario. to recap what has happened since my fight with the prince this morning i rejoined the rebel forces,we broke through the Royal army and found a strange and startling fact. the Army and Maurders had allied themselves together. appearantly the leader of the mauraders who had thus far avoided identification had revealed himself. it was none other than the prince. the king had died by the hand of the chancellor, who actually was a wizard who was controlling the prince with his magic causing all the problems in the kingdom. the princes humiliating defeat had broken the spell (always glad to help change the storyline. the whole group running the scenario liked this better. they just never thought anyone would be able to beat the prince *smile*). the prince after coming to his senses returned to the town where he found total chaos, everyone was fighting everyone and the chancellor was overseeing the chaos with glee. the prince rallied his army and mauroders will calling the rebels to banish the evil that was the chancellor.
the final battle rules changed slightly. the entirety of each army would fight. the battle would take place in this manner. three warriors at a time from each of the three teams would fight. making this a 9 on 1 fight. the team leaders would choose who fought when. the front line was to be made up of the best three warriors from each team. they split up me and eric though because eric had wondered off (i still wonder where he went) but being a boss battle we had access to all our abilities, YEA! so without further delay here it is the final epic battle.(oh and i will poster my character sheet here after this. then some of the techniques i use will make better sense. i will try to explain them here.) oh and yes the character WILL sound overpowered but rest assured i do not have a god complex. we just made our opponents in our roleplay that mean that we needed this kinda stuff. so it is scaled to the opponents.

the alliances were formed, the plans were made. we were marching on a poewerful enemy. so fearful was his might that we had allied over 200 warriors to oppose this threat. and we would need them all, for our foe lived up to his legend. it was a dark sorcerer who had taken the guise of a chancellor in the employ of the king. i had been chosen to be on the front line as i was the most resilient and powerful fighter in the rebellion and proved to be more than any guardsman or raider could handle. i had broken the spell on the prince and not it was time to break the wizards strangle hold on the kingdom. even with all my might i was nervous, but i took my place without showing weakness. i was the representative of the rebels, no the kingdoms strength, i would not falter. the opening move was decided. we struck the first blow. i opened with my ever trusted counterblow skill. i was quite curious why the only member of the army, apparently playing the part of a white mage, defended. it made sense through immediately. he called out our best warriors to kill us in one shot. he uses a deathwave spell. the entire frontline dies except the white mage. i managed to cheat death by using the second of the five phoenix downs i had collected. the mage turns to me and says he can mass heal if i can buy him the time. i decide that its time to take off the kiddie gloves and shine the way only an arbiter could. i informed the referee i was using my second strongest technique and that it would take six rounds to complete. i began with charging up my trademark technique, the Deathblade (chidori + rasengan. chidori by definition is unfocused destructive chakra, while rasengan is normal chakra focused to a point where it is destructive. the name is derived from the jap. translations of rasengan raikiri or spinning death lightning blade, deathblade) but i wasn't done yet. focusing i split the attack in two holding a deathblade in each hand. while holding these immeasurably destructive orbs i fell into my stance and began by calling out "Eight Trigrams 64 Palms of Death and Destruction! 2 PALMS" and struck twice and ended my turn. no the catch to this attack is that the user and target are now locked in this attack for six rounds. so while i "entertained" the chancellor the white mage revived us by teams after regenerating his mana. once the final strike of my attack ended the rebel leader herself pulled me off the front line and said i was done. she told me that if i kept this up the boss would die and no one else would get a shot at them. that was why the strongest warriors were all supposed to be killed of but thanks to me they were all back. i cant remember everything that happened from everything else but here are afew highlights:
Eric summoned a T-rex
the chancellor caught several deadly diseases, including A.I.D.S. and the flesh eating virus, courtesy of Bio-Pyro (his only appearance this time round)
captians jack sparrow and planet tag teamed the chancellor.
a cheater hacked the chancellor and weakened him.
and most people had a good time but lets move on now.
after everyone had a shot and died the NPC's of each faction stepped in. the prince stood with the pauper, the captain of the guard stood by his betrayer, bartholomew the black stood by walter the white. thus the final round began. it was a long drawn out battle that i wont lie, bored me to hell. i wanted in it. i mean COME ON I'M STILL ALIVE OVER HERE! but oh well. to make a long story short the prince killed the chancellor and became a righteous king bringing peace to the land.

sorry for loosing the details at the end. i have problems remembering what i'm not involved in. i was half asleep on the sidelines waiting to jump back in. they told me not to mess upi the storyline. so that is the final story, or what i remember of it.

christ........epic, in its own creepy way (no offense of course). I want to see one of these cons sometime.

Additional Info
A master tactician and graceful swordsman who is quite a powerful force to be reckoned with due to the joining of two bloodline capabilities. Specializes in high speed taijutsus and weapon capabilities, but wields several ninjutsu of devastating might used on rare occasions and can heal himself to a slight degree when injured. Usually calm and reserved but easily irritated, he is quick to remind people that he prefers to keep the peace by killing all those involved in a conflict. Should someone be stupid enough to piss him off he will begin to combine several jutsus to create new techniques of immense power or even summon a member of the death corps itself, typically Death.

NOTE:
Death is an NPC that bails us out when we get over our head (yes it happens, even with all our powers, we aren't immortal) Death is my girlfriends roleplay charcter and is a grim reaper, thus the name.

cool. WORDS! there are alot.

ok figured i'd give you guys one more to read before i left to head home. from this point out any storys will take place outside of the storyline that was mentioned before as i have covered the eventful battles (if you are curious how most went read the begining of the prince battle where we cream the guards, now take my strategy and apply it to my teammate as well, like i said i've covered all the eventful story battles.) this battle got fairly annoying, luckily it was a boss battle so i had a way to fix this but it REALLY got on my nerves the way the captian of the guard fights.
OK now to set things up abit, after the storyline things just broke into random encounters (other players just challenge you on site and battle occurs) there was no team structure and most teams had at least one boss character in them (mine didn't). these battles were 3 on 3 battles. also all non-player characters have 5 HP in these fights, no exceptions. all players have whatever they had obtained during the storyline (you still gained EXP here so you could get more)

ok here was the teams on this one: OPPOSING: Ichigo (bleach), Rukia (Bleach), and the captain of the guard (storyline boss) VS Arbitor(me), Voltimier(eric), and the homeless merchant (storyline merchant). the opposing team got first move and the captain of the guard opens with his royal pain in the butt special: phalanx formation (like in 300 the shield wall). this is a royal thorn in my side but i don't know it yet. you'll see why in afew rounds. i go next. i decide to play nice to start with and strike normally at ichigo, no sense in ending it too quickly, i'd like to have some fun. as i attack the captain moves to block, he takes no damage. i wonder why he can use both eveade and cover in one move but chalk it up to him being a boss and figure it will wear off next turn. ichigo stikes eric for 1 damage. eric retaliates with a shadow shuriken strike dealing one damage to each opponent. once again the damage is not dealt as the captain guards his entire team. rukia uses bakudo number 1: sai to cause the merchant to skip his turn but deals no damage. HP after round 1: me:5, eric: 4 merchant: 5 captain: 5, ichigo: 5, rukia: 5. the captain is up again. he uses lance sweep to attack the merchant, disabling him again this turn. for the life of me i can't figure out why they kept attacking him, as far as i know he was the least of their worries. its my move again and i decide that the captain has to go. no way am i letting that wall go back up. i strike and much to my surprise HE BLOCKS IT AGAIN! i turn to eric and tell him we have to get rid of that shield, then it occurs to me why they are disabling the merchant, he is also a thief, he could steal that shield away! ichigo attacks the merchant normally again while eric, not yet realising how the shield trick works, attacks ichigo again, no luck. rukia attacks the merchant. HP after round 2: me:5, eric: 4 merchant: 2, captain: 5, ichigo: 5, rukia: 5. the captain attacks the merchant normally. at this point i have had about enough of this. i turn to the referee and ask if i may use a combo attack with my teammate during his turn instead of attacking this turn. the referee says i may so i end my move. ichigo finishes off the merchant. i tell eric to summon his T-rex. i just wanted to see how they were gonna block this one. the t-rex stomps on all party members and rips the shield away from the captain. my move. i follow through with fire style:shadow dragon fire rockets. rukia attacks me. HP after round 3:me:4, eric: 4 merchant: 0, captain: 2, ichigo: 3, rukia: 2. the captain attacks the entire team with a sweep all attack. i decide that its time for an end game move. i tell eric to follow my lead and use drain 2 on the captain. ichigo attacks me again. eric figures out what i wanted him to do and uses drain 2 on rukia. HP after round 4: me:5, eric: 5 merchant: 0, captain: 0, ichigo: 2, rukia: 0. i attack ichigo normally. ichigo attacks me with Bankai, which deals me three points of damage while doubling his normal damage for the next 3 rounds (why he didn't open with this i will never know). the burn kills him ending the match.

and the moral is: sheilds suck. if an opponent is a boss and has a shield KILL THEM NOW before they can do you harm. i still wonder what the merchant does. he never did get an attack in any of the battles and i never saw him fight in the storyline. i am guessing that he draws most attacks to him maybe?
